THE LEGEND DE JUAN MACHETE
Considered as one of the good known legends of the plain. It counts the man's life that wanted to be the most powerful in the region, their name he/she was Juan Francisco Ortiz, master and Mister of the lands of the Macarena. This gentleman made a pact with the devil in which gave him his wife and children, in exchange for a lot of money, livestock and lands. The devil told to Juan that grabbed a toad and a hen, to which it should sew him the eyes and to bury them alive a Sacred Friday at twelve in the night, in a remote place, then it should invoke it of soul and heart. Juan fulfilled that commended.
Several days happening, the man realized that the business prospered. A dawn rose early, and when saddling its horse it sighted an imposing black bull, with the four helmets and the two white pieces. It passed this fact desapercibido and he/she left to work as of habit. In the afternoon he/she returned of the task and he/she observed that the bull was still marauding the house. Did he/she think it will belong to some neighbor?. on the following day he/she did wake up him the din caused by the animals, did he/she imagine that the cause could be the black bull. It tried to take it out of their territory, but this was not possible because no point tolerates. Tired and concerned with the incident stranger he/she went to bed, but at twelve in the night it was wakened up by an imposing bellow. When arriving to the herdsman you dió counts that thousands of you pray they pastured from a side to another. Their wealth increased more and more.
He/she says the legend during many years it was the richest man in the region. Until one day uncannily began to disappear the livestock and to diminish its fortune until being in the misery. It is said that Juan Machete after fulfilling his pact the devil, penitent buried the paw that was him and it disappeared in the bowels of the forest. It counts the legend that in the lands of the Macarena a man strolls vomiting fire and preventing that Juan's Machete money is exhumed
